Having fun in Highland IL this spring! The Highland Home, an independent living senior community, is hosting an 8 week Legacy Sharing social activity program from One Legacy. We facilitate the sharing of amazing personal stories. During week one, stories were collected about mothers while honoring Mothers Day in May. At the second session, it was all about stories of our fathers, to prepare for Father’s Day. This week we’ll collect more stories about fathers of the Highland Home residents.

Each week we also have fun with icebreaker activities using One Legacy StoryStarter Cards.

Thanks to Rick Embry, Residential Manager at The Highland Home, for helping with scheduling and promoting the event. Rick enjoys attending the sessions and sharing his own stories. Also, a special thank you goes to the City of Highland Illinois, who provided a generous donation to help sponsor the event. As part of the Legacy Sharing program, One Legacy is collecting stories to be published in a book for residents to enjoy. Selected stories will also appear in future issues of The Family Historian Journal.

If you are a planner of activities for your family, group, or business, we invite you to learn more about Legacy Sharing. Special programs are offered to advertisers and sponsors of The Family Historian Journal. Please contact us for more information. Soon we’ll be sharing more stories (and videosJ) from Highland!

My Best,

Mike Stith – Founder – One Legacy®
